Complementary (or holistic, alternative) medicine recognizes and supports the entire self as one interconnected organism that is inherently capable of healing itself.
It is estimated that as much as 90% of all modern day illness is stress-related. Complementary health therapies strive to eliminate stress, restore balance, renew vital processes and restore optimal functioning to allow natural healing to occur. As such, complementary therapies are as much preventative as they are curative.
